CEVA Logistics, which is a worldwide pioneer when it comes to third-party logistics, on July 7, 2026, announced the launch of a new large-scale warehouse setup in Derby, UK. This is an additional significant achievement for the company, as it further reinforces its position as a strategic logistics partner as far as leading global eCommerce brands are concerned.
The new operation, planned to go live in August 2026, is expected to see CEVA manage a specialised facility which is designed to support high-demand inventory for rapid implementation in order to fulfil end-customers throughout the UK.
Contributing to eCommerce Growth within the Region
It is well to be noted that CEVA will handle the storage, management and shipment of customer inventory at the new 508,000 square foot warehouse location in Derby, enabling quicker and more effective deliveries to clients all over the UK. The operation encourages ongoing growth and investment in the UK eCommerce sector and is anticipated to result in roughly 300 new jobs in the region.
Sustainable & Scalable Operations
The new large-scale warehouse setup in Derby is designed keeping in mind sustainability and operational effectiveness, with EPC A+ certification and a BREEAM Excellent rating as well as a solar roof installation constructed to enable lower-energy operations.
The warehouse is constructed with over 147,000 dynamic pick faces as well as variable storage locations in order to offer scalable capacity to accommodate future growth and rising customer demand. Further racking can be set up and block-stack floor space converted in order to deliver more space while preserving flexibility in operation and the highest possible service standards.
Fast Execution and Delivery
A key component of this new large-scale warehouse setup in Derby is reduced timeframe, having less than 20 weeks from contract award to start of operations. This effective mobilisation shows the close cooperation between business development, solution design, legal, and project management as well as account management teams of CEVA, guaranteeing quick deployment and readiness for operations.
The managing director of Contract Logistics, UKIN, at CEVA Logistics, Mike Weaver, said that “This new operation highlights CEVA’s ability to deliver large-scale, high-performance logistics solutions at speed. The Derby facility combines operational scale, sustainability and flexibility to support the evolving requirements of today’s eCommerce market.
