AD Ports Group’s logistics arm, Noatum Logistics doubles its trucking fleet to over 850 units to accelerate its regional growth strategy, continuing to make investments in capacity and service excellence as well as supply chain flexibility throughout the Middle East and the GCC.
The investment substantially adds to the owned fleet of the company and takes the Group’s objective to build Noatum Logistics into a major global and regional logistics player a step further.
It is well to be noted that the new fuel-efficient units have been sent out in batches over a six-month period, meet Euro 5 emissions standards, and have been fully incorporated into Noatum Logistics regional operations. The company now boasts one of the largest and cutting-edge heavy transport fleets in the UAE and can accommodate customers regardless of regional boundaries with higher efficiency and control over operations.
This expansion reinforces Noatum Logistics’ largely owned and operated GCC fleet, contributing to the growing range of contract logistics and freight forwarding as well as project logistics services throughout the region. Critically, the expanded fleet will allow the company to provide in-house overland cross-border transport, thereby opening up new avenues for assisting clients with regional overland supply chain needs.
As per Thorsten Pook, Managing Director, Noatum Logistics – Middle East, Indian Subcontinent & CIS, “This investment is about much more than adding trucks. It is about building the capabilities that enable us to stay closer to our customers, deliver greater certainty and efficiency across their supply chains, and respond quickly to changing market conditions. As Noatum Logistics continues to build momentum both internationally and across the region, our expanded fleet will play a vital role in empowering our customers to move faster, reach further, and grow with confidence.”
Noatum Logistics has integrated the reach of its expanded fleet as a unique regional solution with its specialised rail shuttle service linking Khalifa Port and Fujairah Terminals. Both modes complement each other very well with respect to quantity, capacity, and schedule requirements and offer clients an adaptable multi-modal option that is currently proving its worth over the recent regional disruption. The solution provides accessibility to alternative overland bonded corridors linking the industrial heartland of the UAE with untouched regional sea and air transport hubs, improving continuity of operations and supply chain visibility.
Together with the fleet expansion, Noatum Logistics is making investments in sophisticated digital tracking. GPS tracking on each vehicle feeds into a centralized control tower, offering real-time insight into fleet performance and transit status along with asset utilization. With this visibility, customers can better track shipments and have greater influence over their supply chains.
Supported by AD Ports Group, as Noatum Logistics doubles its trucking fleet, it continues to develop its multimodal network to create an exceptionally linked logistics platform that brings together a global footprint with local knowledge and customized delivery.
