The VALOMA LogTech Forum 2026, which will take place on May 9, 2026, in Hanoi, Vietnam, is expected to give useful information about how to use artificial intelligence – AI in logistics operations. It will include real-world case studies from companies that have executed AI solutions.
As the global supply chains are changing, digital transformation is no longer an option for logistics companies – it is now a must. In the first quarter of 2026, the logistics industry in Vietnam grew by 14–16%, which is almost twice the global average. Digital logistics is becoming a major driver of growth, helping the sector reach its goal of increasing its value-added share to 5–7% of GDP by the end of 2026.
Most businesses, on the other hand, are still in the early stages of digitalization and are mostly automating simple tasks. The use of AI for advanced analytics and forecasting is still limited.
Tran Thanh Hai, the deputy director of the Import-Export Department at the Ministry of Industry and Trade, says that some of the logistics companies have started making use of AI in their operations. There are many uses for these technologies, including route optimization algorithms which in a way cut down on fuel use, computer vision technologies for managing warehouses, and also automating customs procedures.
Even with these improvements, there is still a big gap between what technology can do and the present infrastructure. making it hard to go ahead and use AI on a large scale.
In this regard, the VALOMA LogTech Forum 2026 is anticipated to be a significant platform for policymakers, experts, and businesses to share ideas and work together to solve problems in the industry.
