The new Teckrez Distribution Center, operated by Porter Logistics, which is a Georgia-based third-party logistics – 3PL company having warehouses in Atlanta and Savannah, had its grand opening and ribbon cutting on October 28, 2026, at the Savannah 3PL warehouse by Porter at 195 Nordic Way in Pooler.
It is worth noting that the new Teckrez Distribution Center, which opened in February 2026, is operated by Porter, who was selected by Teckrez, which is a Jacksonville-based supplier, as far as hydrocarbon resins and monomers are concerned. The import containers from Teckrez navigate the Port of Savannah and are then transported to customers throughout the USA. Teckrez’s operation is part of Porter’s specialty chemicals logistics standard for Savannah serving producers and distributors transporting product through the port. Teckrez said it plans to move 400 containers via the port in 2026 and anticipates delivering over 600 in 2027.
A quality-control laboratory planned within the building in early 2027 will bring Teckrez’s product testing and sampling responsibilities in-house, letting inventory be accepted and distributed to customers more quickly. Porter is putting more than $1 million into infrastructure at the Pooler building and introducing technical and warehouse jobs.
Teckrez, Porter Logistics, the Savannah Economic Development Authority – SEDA, the Georgia Ports Authority, and the World Trade Center Savannah all spoke during the ceremony, and officials from Pooler and Chatham County were also present.
According to the co-founder and president of Porter Logistics, John Foshee, “Every container Teckrez brings through Savannah is more cargo for this port and more work for people here. We built the Pooler operation around what resin and chemical companies need: a bonded area, repackaging, and a short drive from the port. Thank you to SEDA for helping bring Teckrez to the region and to the Georgia Ports Authority and the City of Pooler for celebrating with us.”
Remarked Jake Arcuri, Senior Logistics Analyst at Teckrez, “Opening our new Savannah facility represents a significant investment in the future of our business and the service we provide to our customers and supply partners. By centralizing inventory and key operational functions in Savannah, we are creating a more responsive, flexible, and efficient supply chain while expanding the products and services we offer.”
The Pooler facility by Porter features a 30-foot clear height, 28 dock doors, and ESFR sprinklers and is an ambient warehouse. It’s 3 minutes from I-95 and five minutes from I-16. The building is home to the Savannah bonded warehouse area from Porter, which has been operational since June 2026 and specializes in the repackaging of both liquid as well as dry chemicals. Porter is Responsible Distribution certified by the Alliance for Chemical Distribution – ACD and offers chemical warehousing across the areas of Savannah and Atlanta.
