Oracle has introduced a new AI-powered solution within the Oracle Cloud Supply Chain Management (SCM) suite: Oracle Fusion Cloud Advanced Inventory Management. This new AI-driven offering is designed to improve operational efficiency by filling the gap between basic inventory functions and comprehensive warehouse management systems.

Developed for use in industries like healthcare, manufacturing, and distribution, the solution provides businesses with the functionality they need to manage moderate inventory needs at a lower price than the cost of full-featured warehouse management. This advanced inventory management solution is equipped with embedded artificial intelligence.

Among its key features is a streamlined task assignment mechanism that eliminates redundancy and promotes speed and accuracy in execution. It also introduces simplified transaction handling, allowing the use of license plate numbers to manage receiving, shipping, transfers, and inventory counts with real-time visibility.

Real-time cross-dock alerts assist companies in reducing handling times and enhancing fulfilment effectiveness. Another significant feature is Shipment grouping by load—an action that promotes enhanced logistics planning with lower transport costs. Put-away locations are suggested by the system to minimise storage usage and decrease manual decision-making.

Further, the AI-driven inventory automation enables businesses to optimise stock levels and automate routine tasks. This development in advanced inventory management also automates replenishment actions, ensuring that businesses run with increased accuracy, speed, and efficiency.

The more versatile Oracle Cloud SCM suite, here extended by this new Advanced Inventory Management solution, supports an array of inventory management needs—from simple stockroom fill to sophisticated manufacturing operations and massive distribution facilities. The addition reinforces Oracle’s supply chain industry leadership in the competitive market by responding to growing demand for intelligent, mid-range automation solutions for global industry.
