In a move that occurred on October 13, 2026, JINGDONG Industrials and AMD entered into a strategic cooperation agreement in order to develop AI products and factory solutions, along with workshops, and various other industrial environments. JINGDONG Industrials will use the high-performance computing technology of AMD and work with its industrial AI models and supply chain expertise in order to help with routine maintenance of equipment, quality assurance, and safety at work.
The agreement was inked at the China International Industry Fair in Shanghai and covers the adaptation and joint optimization of the JoyIndustrial model from JINGDONG Industrials for AMD Ryzen AI Max Series processors. The companies plan to run industrial AI models directly on devices at operational sites to deliver quicker responses, enhanced data safety, and greater operational adaptability.
Visual quality inspection, predictive equipment maintenance, safety inspections, and production scheduling, along with supply chain collaboration are the planned applications. The companies will collaborate to develop, test, and exhibit solutions for greater acceptance by industrial customers.
The partnership to develop AI products and factory solutions in addition to building workshops will also look into industrial world models, AI models that are intended to understand operational environments and predict how conditions may evolve. This work will bring together the industrial data and operational expertise of JINGDONG Industrials with AMD’s computing and edge deployment expertise. The predicted applications include estimating risks of collision when it comes to factories and warehouses by analyzing trajectories of vehicles, motions of workers, and surrounding conditions.
According to the CEO of JINGDONG Industrials, Peinuan Wang, “By working closely with AMD on collaborative optimization, we will significantly strengthen our AI service capabilities and the real-world value we deliver to the industrial sector.”
Opines senior vice president and president, Greater China at AMD, Spencer Pan, “This partnership represents a leading new paradigm for industrial intelligence that both parties are exploring together — moving AI beyond seeing and recognizing to understanding, reasoning, and predicting in real production environments.”
The companies will also supply AI products and application solutions along with services for multinational corporations, overseas businesses, and Chinese companies going global, utilizing sales channels and customer networks of JINGDONG Industrials.
